GRAN PIEMONTE: JAKUB MARECZKO TOOK A 6TH PLACE IN BORGOSESIA

The 105th edition of the Gran Piemonte has ended in a mass sprint won by Matthew Holmes, the Omnium golden medal at the Olympics in Tokyo, who managed to beat Giacomo Nizzolo and Olav Kooji.

It was a very good team performance for the team Vini Zabù with Jakub Mareczko that has achieved a 6th place after the great work made by his team mates all along the day.

The green and yellow jerseys were often in front of the peloton including the one of Marco Frapporti, who was initially in the breakaway of the day.

On the final straight Jakub Mareczko tried to achieve his third win of the season but he can be happy of this result, the 11th top 10 of 2021.

Tomorrow rest day before the latest great race of the year, Il Lombardia.
