TOUR DE HONGRIE: A CHAOTIC FINISH IN STAGE 2

It was a very difficult day for the team Neri Sottoli – Selle Italia – KTM at the Tour de Hongrie in a very warm stage with a mistake at the last km that could have created a lot of troubles in the peloton.

The winner was Krists Neilands who escaped solo in the final kms of the climb of Bukkszentkereszt. The latvian National Champion reacted to a previous move of Manuel Bongiorno that caught the daily breakaway but he couldn’t follow his rival.

Neilands won with 1’00” on the chase group that at the last km was sent in the wrong direction by the motorbikes who were anticipating the race.

The result of this mistake was a crash and luckily none of our riders was involved in it.

Neilands now leads also the general classification where Marengo sits in 15th place.

Tomorrow two stages both for sprinter with the morning one that is gonna start at 10:00
